TOP 10 NON MARVEL DC SUPERHERO MOVIES

Superhero movies made a very big part of modern cinema nowadays, with highest grossing movie being a superhero movie i.e., Avengers Endgame. Still so, whenever we hear about superhero movies,only two names come to minds of even biggest fans of this genre- MARVEL & DC. Reason being that these two big giants hold most of the characters we love as superheroes. But there are still a lot of other good characters & movies out there which needs to be recognized as well as we know marvel & DC. So today I will make a list of top 10 best superhero movies outside marvel & DC.

10.PUSH(2008):

Did Chris evans' role as captain America leaves you wanting more superhero action from him? Don't worry you have this 2009 release directed by Paul macguigan. Movie tells story about two Americans with special powers in search of a girl from Hong Kong & racing against an evil shadowy organization called division. Movie is very innovative,had amazing action & various new ideas,but somehow lacks behind other movies that's why it's at no.10 here but it's a must watch movie I strongly recommend you to watch it.

9.HANCOCK(2009):

If you wonder how a lonely superhero would be,then you need not to imagine just watch this 2008 flick starring will Smith as titular character who has no memory but a lot of superpowers & he tries to help people with them but instead ended up making big casualties than most supervillain. People hates him but when he saves life of a PR advisor,he helped Hancock in improving his image,well the movie may seemed simple,but it's not we have big plot twists in movie & a satisfying ending add that with character driven story, fantastic acting & star power of Will Smith & you are surely in for a wild ride.

8.Hellboy(2004):

If you are one of those who like both weird characters & superhero movies then this movie is for you. I am talking about original two movies released in 2004 & 2008, not about 2019 reboot which is horrible. Also to be clear I stated word for appearances of character. This movie tells story of WW-2 where Nazis intended to use hellboy a s a weapon but he was saved by allies & then he fights alongside them & works to kill other monsters like him. Both this movie & it's sequel featured characters of weird deign,proper development. Some amazing action sequences, fantastic world building & a comic accurate interpretation of the big red guy earned this movie a spot on this list.

7.Kick-ass(2010):

As you can predict by the name, this is an r-rated movie so it can't be seen in front of children but it's a must watch for legal age audiences & I am talking about 2010 original not the sequel as it wasn't worth it. The movie tells story about a comic book lover who wanted to be a real superhero & trained his daughter to become his partner in this superhero life they're then joined by our titular character who wanted to join them but he made a lot of mistakes & caused death of former superhero. The movie boosted some of the best hand to hand combat in superhero movies & various gory visuals you will definitely love.

6.Sonic(2019):

If you could remember your childhood then we surely had played games of Sonic the hedgehog well if you did,then this movie will make you remember your childhood & If you didn't then this movie will make you emerge in it's universe with a hedgehog alien living away from rest of the world but in desperate need of a friend.When an evil genius Dr.robotnik came to hold him captive he seemed help & he get one from local cop,a wild chase begin

around the globe & we got to see amazing action,visuals,comedy & much more. At last,you all will get exhausted for good & only appreciate the film. Highlight of movie was a yet another brilliant performance of legend "man with rubber face" Jim Carrey himself as Dr.Robotnik.

5.Chronicles:

A relatively new style to filmmaking,found footage style gave us a lot of good movies in recent years. So it's not a surprise that such a style was also adopted in a superhero movie. This movie don't feature any big name,but still cast was perfect at their place. Story is about teenagers who have the power of telekinesis i.e., they can move things by mere use of their mind. They used it for fun but one day caused an accident & hence, a death. This accident drive one of them into madness & he became a supervillain & caused a lot of destruction. Story had a lot of fun in first half but it instantly change it self & get filled with a lot of tension. Slow drift of protagonist towards madness sometimes make you angry & sometimes made you feel for him & that's how good this movie is,well you have to see it for yourself & experience it's magic.

4.Dredd:

It may be the only movie in this list which was made better second time than first it's a r-rated movie due to gory visuals presented in their full glory by the use of slo-mo. It's one of the best underrated movies ever & presented everything people loved cics of judge dreed for in comic accurate fashion. The inside mind scene of this movie is among the best scenes ever graced the screen. Movie over compensated for the simple story by it's glorious action & visuals.

3.Bloodshot:

The shutdown of cinemas due to Corona virus pandemic resulted in less business for several movies. Bloodshot is among those movies & it's very sad considering the action, visuals& effort put up in bringing this valiant comic character to life. Lead actor Vin Diesel made the action as badass as in his every other role, making movie more interesting & better. Sony planned to start a new Cinematic Universe VCU(Valiant Cinematic Universe) with this movie& to compete with two big giants-MCU & DCEU. Reviews weren't very good & so was box office gross but believe me movie isn't to be missed & a must watch for everyone.

2.Birdman:

Released in 2014, this movie got best picture & best director awards in Oscars that year. But the reason it's at no.2 is the unclearity that whether the hero of the movie have superpowers for real or not. Movie's quality can't be questioned due to awards & review it get. It tells story about a hero who became famous doing a superhero role & now is having a hard time. So,he decided to make another superhero movie but get injured during shooting & have to get replaced. Movie deals with psychology of protagonist & we get various hallucinations of him At last,we were left with various questions & what's real or what's hallucinations must be decided by the audiences only.

1.Incredibles:

Is there any other movie out there which deserve no.1 spot more than this master animation flick from Pixar. This movie showed audiences that Pixar as a new studios has a lot of potential in it. Till then, Pixar came up with a lot of new ideas & gave us various masterpiece in animation but this morning remained their staple. It also got a similarly masterfully made sequel which dwell further into the life of family we loved in 2004. This movie made Pixar a powerhouse in animation & became a poster of animation industry since then & earns a no.1 spot on all of lists of this title.
