Amazing superhero Facts

Superheroes are prominent part of modern culture thanks in no small part to movies,games & other media, which gave us a lot of superhero stuff to enjoy.  It's not a surprise to hear that a lot of  facts related to superheroes got missed. Some of which are actually amazing, today I'm going to give you some of these facts which most of the people don't know. These comes from all mediums viz, comics, movies etc.

 

 Some world records

There are a lot of world records in superhero world,some of which are also recorded in Guinness book of world records.

Deadpool's wedding:

Deadpool is an obscure character & he's very popular among ladies inspite of his look & obscure behaviour. So no one ever expected that he could settle down with anyone ever. But  everyone got surprised when marvel announced that in deadpool #27, Deadpool will get married. The cover of this comic by Brian posehn made record for the most characters on one cover & made comics special.

RDJ  in Guinness book of world records:

RDJ's iron man is the backbone of MCU,since first iron man came in 2008. RDJ was featured in eleven movies since then, which is a world record for most no.of times same superhero character was played by any actor. The record is of 11 movies. This same record was previously held by Hugh Jackman & Patrick Stewart, who played wolverine & professor x respectively in nine movies.

Most no.of copies sold:

The record for the most no.of copies sold  by any single comic book issue is held by X-MEN#1, published in the year 1991 & had reportedly sold 8.2 million copies worldwide. Ironically, marvel went bankrupt just after two years i.e., in 1993. Bankruptcy caused marvel to sell movie rights of their most famous characters to various studios due to which we aren't able to see X-Men, fantastic four & a lot of other characters even today in MCU.

All endgame records:

Avengers endgame made a lot of records, considering it's ambitious scale & hype surrounded around it. This long list of records included most liked trailer,most viewed trailer, highest grossing movie, biggest earning by advanced bookings,most expensive ticket, highest gross in first day,first week & a lot of others.

Some conflicts

Considering the size of superhero industry, it's not a surprise that a lot of conflicts arose time to time in it,some of which are listed below.

Batman co-creator conflict:

Batman is arguably the most popular superhero in all mediums. The character was submitted to detective comics (later acquired by DC)by Bob kane ,he also gave the name of Bill finger(real name Milton finger)as co-creator,but finger didn't get credit. All writers & artists were trying to get justice for finger since then & he was getting some well earned Fame in recent years with dark Knight rises being first movie to give him credit for Batman's creation.

Permutter conflict:

Marvel is long termed by many as a racial company considering the no.of white male heroes we got in MCU during first two phases with no movie with a black hero or a lead female character. This discrimination debate reached it's height when some secret emails from marvel chairman (secret name permutter) got leaked in which he claimed that female or black centric movies don't work giving example of  removed Catwoman. Disney  removed  this mysterious figure instantly & as soon as this firing happened, production of movies like black panther, captain marvel started, showcasing that these projects were already in plans.They became one of the most successful movies MCU had produced till now.Kevin fiege is the head of the marvel studios now.

Marvel vs WWF:

WWF fighter hulk Hogan's name had a secret conflict behind it. The fighter had gave auditions for the character of the incredible hulk in hulk tv series(1977-82),but he didn't got chance to play Green giant. The chance went to Lou ferrigno,whom Hogan believed to have a less bulky body than him. This enraged Hogan & he used name hulk during his WWF career. Marvel waited for some years & when Hogan became famous,they sued him for using name of their character. Hogan's popularity was at great height that time,so WWF made a deal with marvel & marvel gained money Everytime Hogan came in the ring.
