Most awaited superhero projects

Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, the first thing we fans wanted after things settle down a bit is superhero action & exhilarating visuals. Superheroes related various projects are waiting for us & will soon be delivered to us as soon as opportunity comes. So,today I will tell you about some of these projects which are coming soon & are waited by fans all over the globe. This list of projects include only two forms of media  movies & web series 

WEB SERIES

1.THE BOYS:

This adult web series was the smash hit of 2019 & most viewed web series of that year. It tells story of an alternate world where superheroes are controlled by a company named "VOID". This company used superheroes both as weapon & as assets for corporate gain. Public loves superheroes due to image made by company, but little they know about vicious deeds of company covered by these heroes through brutal methods. Amidst all this,a group named as " THE BOYS" was formed by a man named William Butcher to fight against them. The gory visuals, plot twists,murders ,action ,character arcs everything was perfect in first season which made it very popular . Now a subplot of season one for inclusion of superheroes in army is to be explored in season 2. 

All characters are instantly recognizable as they are literal rip-offs of DC's classic characters  but with a different for good treatment.  Its a must watch & 2nd season is all set to release on amazon prime with its first 3 episodes releasing on 4September & rest of the episodes being released weekly culminating on 9 October.

2.Umbrella academy:

Talking about a different approach to classic characters umbrella academy is also among best examples of them, when it's first season came back in 2019 it surprised everyone with it's comedy,action & literally everything. It's the story about six super children who were adopted by an old man but they don't like each other. After the death of their mentor ,they discovered that earth is going to end & they have to stop this upcoming destruction. The chemistry & bonding of these characters are very interesting & worth a watch .Season 1 ends with coming of another trouble & this trouble will be explored in season 2,releasing on  31july,2020 on Netflix.

MOVIES

1.Black widow:

When Scarlett Johansson took on the role of the sexiest assassian of earth black widow for first time in iron man 2,no one could predict that this supporting & only for glamour role will become so popular that it will get it's own solo movie. But as marvel listened to fans & made a movie after such a long time & this movie was set to release with all editing,VFX etc. done with promotion & a release scheduled on April ,movie got delated due to pandemic shutdown . For now,no new dates are announced by marvel yet. So, fans are still waiting for movie they are demanding since character's debut ,as Scarlett Johansson had played this role so perfectly. Strangely marvel is giving us this movie when character just die in endgame . We are hoping to see this movie as soon as possible & give a final tribute to our favourite character . Also we got to see taskmaster & next black widow too in this movie. Marvel is launching their phase 4 with this movie,so it will be very interesting & a must watch.

2.Wonder woman84:

Gal gadot's casting as wonder woman wasn't well received by fans firstly but when fans watched her in action during the climatic battle of Batman v Superman ,everyone got assured about this Israeli actress's capability & her future as wonder woman. First wonder woman movie also cements this position of gal gadot. Director petty Jenkins delivered a truly awesome & engaging movie which was most criticality acclaimed movie of DCEU ,now preceded by Shazam & aquaman. Now,this duo is coming back with a part 2set in 1984, movie's trailer is awesome & assures for another smash hit. This movie also get a late release due to COVID-19 pandemic & we didn't get a new date yet,but surely evey fan is eagerly waiting for sequel. Comic book lovers could also notice wonder woman's biggest for cheetah & Maxwell Lord in trailer which is going to be very exciting to watch .

3. Zack Snyder's Justice League:

20 Justice league was the biggest project of Warner Bros which was about to complete under Zack Snyder but due to his daughter's suicide,he leaves project midway. Studios didn't want project to stop ,so they hired a completely different director Joss Whedon who made 2012s avengers such a success, but his style didn't matched with that of Zack Snyder & hence,film became a complete mess of different ideas. Fans were demanding for a director's cut since then,so WBis going to release it now on a new streaming service,HBO max. Despite the fact that this movie has a release date of 2021,this is surely among the most awaited projects of DCEU. We can't wait to see how was the director originally trying to make this movie as WB had a bad reputation of cutting film too much due to movies like Bat. v Sup. ,Man of steel ,dark knight rises etc.

4.Morbious:

Sony is trying to make a spiderman related universe since a long time. After classic spiderman trilogy made by Sam raimi, they didn't get it right,at least we got MCU version of spider man due to this & Sony also made venom & announced a universe of spider man villains. Now, they're releasing their 2nd film of this universe named morbious, the story is of a brilliant child who used to suffer from an incurable blood disease ,he seeks for cure ,but unfortunately became a vampire. Not only the trailer promised a good action movie, several hints of related to MCU suggested that this movie is going to merge spiderman into both universes as told by marvel president kevin fiege. Also we wanted to see another superhero cinematic universe after MCU & DCEU. While this means double work for tom holland, we could also see double spider man action.

This list only had a handful of superhero projects fans are eagerly waiting ,there are still a lot of projects which aren't going to release soon ,but fans are waiting for them too. I will cover them in my next blog ,so thanks for now .thanks
