Action is the most popular genre all across the globe. If you look at the list of top grossing movies around the world,you will find that most of them belong to action genre. Still a lot of great action movies went unnoticed, sometimes due to lack of star power or good promotion or big franchises.

So, today i am going to tell you about 10 such unnoticed & under-appreciated action movies you should definitely watch, they aren't in any chronological order as all are brilliant in their own right.

1. Raid: 

This Malaysian action flick provide you some of the best fast paced & exhilarating hand-to-hand combat. It leaves you exhausted for good & only other thing you will want is a worthy sequel. Thankfully we had one such sequel. In first part,Story is preety simple. SWAT officer rama joined his team in a raid in a house which is a shelter of various criminals. They swiftly cleared lower floors but soon get realized that they were lurked into a trap. This movie is a classic action flick. Both of these movies are available on MX player in hindi.

2.Dreed:

This is a superhero movie but far away from typical movies in this genre. It had a lot of similarities from raid namely simple story,exhilarating action,set inside a building etc. But it relies more on stylish visuals & had best of them. It's story is of a dystopian future where cities are guarded by large walls & police officers called judge act as judge,jury & executioner. One such judge named dreed took a new recruit to a building & they got stuck there due to mafia now they have to fight through them to remain alive. You should definitely watch it irrespective of which genre you like

3.Mad Max:

If you like practical action, then this movie is for you. It had 90 percent real action. Stuntmen were trained for 9 months by stunt director for this film. It also had Tom hardy in it,who played several big roles. It is also set in a dystopian future & told us a story of crew who is trying to run from a dictator alongwith his sex slaves. It had exhausting action & beautiful visuals with one of the best climatic fights. It's a must watch for everyone who likes action.

4.District 13:

If you don't know about parkouring then it's a sport of walking through roofs defying physics laws. So a movie based on this theme should have most agile actors,thankfully we had David belle & Cyril rafaelli as lead men . This star cast gives us this fantastic parkour-themed movie which tells story of a district in future paris called district13,ridden with crime & follows a cop & local thug who tries to eradicate crime just using their parlouring skills & agile fighting. We get most of chases above roofs & some insane stunts which are a must watch for everyone. It's sequel is equally superb & must watch.

 5.Edge of tomorrow:

This is another movie set in future. This time alien invasion was going on & tom cruise's character major William craige joibed it & got stuck in a time loop due to which everytime he dies,get returned to moment he reacjed his base. Now,he must kill aliens which is his only chance to break this loop. This film showed some of the best weaponry & action scenes in recent memory & a lot of other things to offer viewers.

6.John wick:

Some of you may heard about this movie as it is most renowned than any other movie on this list. Keeanu Revves gave a performance of life & became a mega star from this movie. It's a revenge flick centered around murder of john wick's dog & stealing of his car. This simple premise allowed some of the best gun fights we ever seen. It's next two parts relied more on hand-to-hand combat & still had various gun fights. I suggests you watching 2nd & 3rd chapter only as I didn't liked 1st part too much.

7.Blood shot:

This is the first movie in Sony's new VCU. It had Vin Diesel in main lead,which is sufficient to give it a watch. Also it had an intrunging story,exciting visuals badass fights & much more to offer. I can't give away it's story as it will be as spoiler for the biggest twist of movie.Sony gave viewers a visual treat through this must-watch film. This film didn't grossed much because of COVID-19 pandemic, but it deserves a lot of praise.

8.Birds of prey:

 After a long time we see warner brothers didn't promoted a DCEU film well as their marketing team managed to collect a big opening for forgettable suicide squad. But  they didn't get much for this much better movie. This movie also relies more on hand-to-hand combat & utilized the athletic ability of Margot Robbie to it's full potential. It is filled with humor & boasts various inventive set pieces,colourful background & various others.

9.Rogue one:

If you don't like a typical star wars movie & so didn't watched this movie,then you're missing a classic. Go on,watch this movie it's not required any star wars knowledge & is a heist movie which  boasts a lot of action with both typical & non-typical star wars weapons.It's about a scrappy crew who came together to steal death star's map & provide it to rebel group. It is filled with all classic characters & a lot of iconic moments, which made it one of the best star wars movie worth a watch,whether you are a fan of this franchise or not

10.Extraction:

 This 2020 digital release had a lot of big  names like Chris hemsworth,randeep hooda & pankaj tripathi. This star cast is alone so promising & when you add likes of Sam.hargrave & Russo brothers behind camera you will be into a hell of a ride. This movie showcased this beautifully. Hargrave previously worked as stunt director of endgame & other big projects so he put all his tricks here too. It's a must watch for everyone & is available on Netflix.
